For 28

Intentions For This New Year:

  • Look around more. Once again allow yourself to see what you once needed sheltering from.
  • Put your faith back into practice. Live simply, be generous, acknowledge others.
  • Meet peoples eyes while walking down the street.
  • Risk for what you want.
  • Say when you are uncomfortable.
  • Remember safe and comfortable are not the same things.
  • Practice asking questions along the way in your dating life, your work life, your family life.
  • Be openly and wildly sexual.
  • Act like your family wants you. Maybe they do.
  • Create community meal space in your home.
  • Start inviting people to things again.
  • Spend time in Montana.
  • Remember that feeling stuck is a call to action not a cause for protection.
  • Say the risky things. Always.
  • Embrace healthy conflict as a means of deepening a relationship.
  • Love the simple moments.
  • Foster deeper friendships.
  • Increase the number of people you can call when you're upset.
  • Ask for what you need. Every time.
  • Be honest about your desire to be held and cared for. Then let it happen.
  • Interact with your body beyond living in it. Dance, exercise, move.
  • Go hiking.
  • Stop limiting what you can do based on what you fear your body can't.
  • Buy better shoes.
  • Build a stockpile of gifts so you can give more.
  • Love yourself above all others.

Blyth! This list is so fucking powerful. I will read it again and again, taking some of this brave risk intention and clarity in.

Thank you for sharing it with all of us.
