Reflection/Intention

what shaped my 2010*:
al-anon, cuav, safetyfest, lou vaile, jack vaile, burlesque/queer performance, being in love, femmes!, the femme organizer panel at the femme conference and that whole fucking conference in general, my 2 week solo road trip, montana, heartbreak, doing heartbreak differently, new friends, domestic violence, cars, getting hired on as staff at the riley center, the serenity prayer, therapy, the quest for boundaries and balance, judaism, the east bay, dinner dates with friends, alone time, curiosity, housemate talks, friends/loves that get it and get me.

goals for 2011:
make myself happy instead of searching for happiness outside of myself, have clearer boundaries, don’t indulge in negativity or stress but don’t ignore them either, believe i’m lovable and worthy of a love that suits me, learn more about the work i do, have more dinner parties, have more sex, shed old heartbreak and make way for new life, take a dance class, get better at gift giving, own my body and my sexuality completely, nurture friendships that nurture me, give myself more space –literally and figuratively, laugh more everyday and with meaning, eat the way i want to and not the way stress compels me to, get rid of the blinders i put on when i’m at work and in relationships, communicate more directly, ask more questions, risk, embrace and explore my top energy, become more skillful when it comes to kink, listen to more pop music, get comfortable being alone without side stepping uncomfortable feelings, work the 12 steps of al-anon, open myself to love and intimacy of all sorts, de-personalize critique and criticism, be honest with my family, get reconnected spiritually, cultivate frivolous joy, find the perfect shade of lipstick, bring someone back to ohio with me, write for myself instead of others, make choices out of a sense of want-to and not obligation, buy nicer underwear, send more mail, remember all my siblings birthdays, text less and call more, explore the depths of femininity, get a power drill, live a life that is expansive.
